The Guadalajara Marathon offers a unique opportunity to take over the city by participating in one of the most prominent races on the mythical distance of 42.195 km. Guadalajara is the capital of the state of Jalisco in Mexico located 540 km west-northwest of the capital Mexico City DF (Federal District) It is located in the Atemajac valley, 1561 m above sea level, close to Lake Chapala.
Throughout the world mariachi is a recognized symbol of Mexico. For the Mexicans, it is music that accompanies the most important moments of their lives: an essential element of betrothal and family events such as weddings, birthdays, baptisms and funerals. It is the emblematic sound of Mexico, which evokes the history and traditions of Mexico, touches the hearts of its listeners. You will find these musical ensembles in almost all the cities of Mexico, elegantly dressed in costumes and a broad-brimmed hat.
They will accompany you all along the race course of the marathon.
The Guadalajara marathon, with its 33 years of experience, offers the 34th edition even more lively and festive.

Start of the Marathon at 07:00 am Av. Vallarta at its junction with Morelos Street.
